Overview

At Othware, we’re at the forefront of supporting non profit organisations in Uganda as part of our social corporate responsibility and philosophy.

We had the privilege of partnering with Patongo Counselling Community Outreach (PCCO), a Ugandan Community-Based Organisation (CBO) dedicated to addressing the psychological wounds from decades of war in Northern Uganda. PCCO’s commitment to providing essential counselling services, health education, and community development initiatives has significantly impacted the region. Their skilled counsellors support individuals and groups in coping with trauma, managing mental health, and learning about HIV prevention, reproductive health, and more. To expand their reach and improve communication, PCCO sought Othware’s expertise to develop a website that effectively showcases their work, connects with potential supporters, and offers valuable resources. Othware collaborated closely with PCCO to design a user-friendly website reflecting their mission and values, featuring detailed information on services, success stories, and events, while providing opportunities for donations and volunteering. By enhancing their online presence, PCCO can now reach a wider audience, making the website a key tool for raising awareness and support for their work.

Challenge

Patongo Counselling Community Outreach (PCCO) struggled with limited online visibility, which hindered their ability to communicate effectively and reach a broader audience. Despite their valuable work in providing counselling and community development services, the lack of a strong online platform restricted their ability to attract supporters, volunteers, and individuals seeking their services. This limited their overall impact, making it essential to create an online presence that could showcase their work and better connect with the community.

Solution

Othware was contracted to develop a comprehensive website for PCCO, providing a platform to highlight their services, connect with supporters, and offer valuable resources to the community. The website was designed to communicate their mission, feature their programs, success stories, and events, and include options for donations and volunteering, significantly enhancing their outreach efforts. The Othware team was further tasked with training the PCCO technical team on how to use there new website including its management and publishing of content.

Results

The website Othware developed for Patongo Counselling Community Outreach (PCCO) has significantly improved their online visibility, making it easier for individuals and organisations to learn about their services and get involved. The website has also enhanced communication, allowing PCCO to share information about their programs, success stories, and upcoming events.

Challenges

The traditional rental process can be complicated and time-consuming for both tenants and landlords. Rentify likely encountered challenges in managing a large volume of inquiries, paperwork, and coordination between multiple parties (tenants, landlords, and agents). The need to simplify and streamline this process drove them to approach Othware to develop for them an online platform that centralises all aspects of the rental process, making it more efficient and user-friendly.

Solutions

Othware’s UI/UX team collaborated closely with the client to develop a cutting-edge digital platform that perfectly aligned with their unique needs. Through a series of in-depth meetings and ongoing collaboration, we were able to gain a comprehensive understanding of the client’s vision and translate it into a visually stunning and intuitive user interface.

Our iterative design process involved regular check-ins and progress demonstrations, ensuring that the client remained actively involved throughout the development cycle. This collaborative approach allowed for timely feedback and adjustments, resulting in a final product that exceeded expectations.

Results

Othware provided the client with a fully functional and responsive website that met their specific needs and exceeded expectations.

Upon project completion, all necessary website and hosting credentials were transferred to the client, granting them full ownership and control over their digital assets.
